Well, you're meant to hold down OPTION and MIDDLE_CLICK+DRAG to move the camera vertically. I don't have any alternative for that right now so you may have to revert to using your mouse for now.

It's on my list to come up with a left button only interface alternative...

Excuse me, Warren... I'm dumbass, or time has rotten my brain more than I first thought. I cannot find a way to move freely by the 2D or 3D windows. How can I move myself up and down? I only seem to be able to move forward, backward, and rotate myself. In the 2D window, only zoom in and out seems to be possible.

In the tutorials you mention clicking option then middle button... but with 24 inches monitor, I am using a WACOM tablet not to drag the mouse all over the place, is there a way not to involve left button, right button, middle button? Are there keyboard shortcuts to evolve in the different windows? That would be great!

Actually, that's something I never tested. So thanks for the bug hunting! :)

I'll make a note to maybe throw up some error dialogs about that if the editor sees you're not saving your map in a happy place.

Yes, that worked. So placement of the .map and .wad files are important. Even so, if you save a map with another location you cannot open it back again, ToeTag crashes 100% of the times. Now I can save, quit, load it back again, compile and everything. I am getting there :)

Also make sure your WAD files are in the "quake/id1/gfx" directory...

Try saving your map into your Quake maps directory and then compile it. I think it might need to be where Quake would expect to find it when it runs.

Meaning "quake/id1/maps" ...

Ok Warren :) My first test wasn't very smooth... it seems to complain about NSapplication... here is an excerpt :

---- MergeAll ----
6 mergefaces
writing /Users/csisi/Juegos/Quake/editor/test1.prt
--- FinishBSPFile ---
WriteBSPFile: /Users/csisi/Juegos/Quake/editor/test1.bsp
************ ERROR ************
Error opening /Users/csisi/Juegos/Quake/editor/NSApplication: No such file or directory

But maybe I'm doing something wrong...

Great! And call me Warren. :)

That's awesome to hear that it works now! I don't know WHY it would work now rather than in the previous version but maybe the threading changes did something magical. Who knows?

The good news is that you're up and running. Let me know how it goes!

Dear Mr. Wanton,

I forgot to mention the problem was also being experienced on my Powerbook G4, and well it seems your version 0.90 works flawlessly with the WAD files :)

I'll definately try to build something with this! Mapping with the laptop over your knees while comfortably sitting on the sofa in front of the TV is surely a nice experience compared to the old days :)

THANK YOU for this neat piece of software! :)
