I was replaying e1m4 the other day however, and the id monsters did surprise me… The bridge leading to the exit? Yeah an ogre and a knight saw me from it… They got all excited, started bouncing around in their typical method, when I reached the room with the nail shooters and multiple touch plates, after I killed the initial knights, the other knight came down the stairs and surprised the crap out of me, when I checked up the stairs, the ogre started lobbing grenades down on me.

Technically its not a big deal, but its the first time they’ve ever done that to me, on a map I’ve played at least a dozen times.
