New Level Idea

I started playing with a new idea the other day. What if the way combat was approached in the level was different than the standard fare? What I’m going to try to do is organize the combat around specific event areas, or arenas. This will give a better burst/lull/burst type feel to the level and hopefully heighten the intensity of the standard Quake combat model.

I’m adding a bunch of little QuakeC tweaks in there as well as the arena handling code so this won’t be 100% standard id1 either.

I’ll post more when I have more done but it’s looking promising so far!

    I should take a look at his then for sure! I’m sure this isn’t a new idea (are there any new ideas left in the Quake 1 world?) but I think it’ll be fun. :)
