Expanded the level a little, added some minor detail here and there and cleaned up texturing alignment.

YOU ADDED MINOR DETAIL! BLUEPRINT LAYOUT FAIL!

    No seriously lookin good.

Haha … Well, you gotta add SOME kind of marker in the level to note where you want little things to appear.

Also, I’m texturing any func’s in the level. I don’t know why I feel that’s a good idea – I think just so I can quickly see what is interact able and what isn’t while working on it.

Zwiffle is right ;) . But still, it’s interesting, it seems to be fairly quick progress. I bet you could do it even rougher and simpler to get the basic geometry/layout down….but it’s all a matter of degree isn’t it.

It’s totally about finding the right level of detail to add and how fast to go. I didn’t plan this level out beforehand which I think leads me to tooling around with extra shapes while my subconscious chews on what should be added next. I have a decent idea for where I want the next section to go so hopefully I can update this weekend.

I’m very interested in seeing how this turns out. looks cool now – I keep tying to put different texture sets on it…

you could have a awesome contest where you get a small chunk of time to add detail, retexture and insert gameplay into the ‘blank’ version of the finished layout.

After releasing your finished version of course.

Oh now that’s kind of cool! Create a blueprinted shell and invite people to texture and light it.
