I bought a small, electronic drum kit the other day. It should be arriving sometime this week. If I end up actually enjoying it, I might post some of my epileptic spasmic stick work. I have no idea how to play. This should be fun.
I actually have no idea how this will turn out. My wife thinks it’s cute that I’ve decided, on a whim, to try something new like this. I think it’s a desperate cry for attention on my part.
We’ll see who was right.
I’m not doing a render this time but something else entirely. It’ll be fun, I think, but it’s going to take a little time. It’s getting there but I’m going to be real busy this week at work so I’m thinking that this project will see the light of day sometime this weekend. I hope!
Edit: OK, so maybe I did another render first! New project is still coming although delayed a little. Gotta get down the grindstone on it…
Crikey. I picked up one of those beautiful 30″ Cinema HD Display monitors from the Apple store today and I can’t believe how amazing it is. It’s lightweight, yet the screen is so huge I could almost curl up on it and go to sleep. I’ve never had this much screen real estate before. It’s a ltitle disconcerting.
The guy at the Apple store got real excited when I asked if he had any of these bad boys in stock. He eagerly ran to the back to get it for me. I guess they work on commission.
At the very least, this should make modeling easier since I’ll be able to see a whole hell of a lot more on the screen at once.
But I’m learning! I’m trying to teach myself how to model decently in Cheetah 3D but it’s going slowly. I’m going to try and model out a small control tower. I’m doing it in a stylized way, a little cartoonish, so I think I can have some fun with it while I learn.
